We did it! We applied for the Kickstarter, and thankfully, we were able to start raising money towards buying letterpress equipment.
Those of you that know Stamped Books know we work hard with our hands. Every book is handmade, and we want to keep it that way. In fact, we want to up the ante. We want to purchase letterpress equipment, a simple small table top press, so we can hand print our covers.
If you’ve never heard of Kickstarter, definitely check out the FAQs on the website, and take a look around. Some info about Kickstarter and our setup with Kickstarter:
Every donation gets a non-monetary gift. Our lowest donation is five dollars, and with it, you receive one of our Tiny Books, written by Eric Frankenberg. For the price of a fast food cheeseburger/ 1-2 packages of quinoa, you can help us just a little more, and you will receive a wonderful little piece of literature. For a donation of $55, you will receive every book we have published to date, including the letterpress covered book by Lacy Cunningham, and the tiny book. There are donation levels above and below, please check the website for more information.
If we don’t raise all of the money, we don’t get any of it. That’s a Kickstarter rule. We will only receive funds if we raise all of our goal amount in our set goal time. That’s $1600 by Sept 31st.
These are the basics. Again, please checkout the site for more info. Please donate at any amount, and spread the word!
